A native Parisian, Marant blends ethnic bohemia and tomboy street chic effortlessly. As a child she grew up reworking her father's discarded clothing into the styles she wanted to wear, but were missing from the marketplace. She launched the Isabel Marant brand with her designer collection in 1994, then established the more easy-going Marant Étoile line six years later.
